Let go as president of FC Southampton after six years, the former head coach of the Swiss national team is contemplating his future.

What's next for Ralph Krueger?

"I'm open for everything," Krueger says in an interview with the Neue Zürcher Zeitung. But: "The first priority at the moment is my wife, who has had to give up many things in the past six years," Krueger explains. "I'll think carefully about what I want before I commit myself to something new."

Might this even be a coaching job in Switzerland? The ZSC Lions are looking for a coach and maybe, one day, the opportunity might present itself to coach his son Justin in Bern. "One should never exclude anything," Krueger says to the same source. "At the moment, it's rather difficult to imagine getting back into day-to-day business immediately and taking over a team."

The next thing on Ralph Krueger's to-do list is becoming a naturalized Swiss citizen: "My wife Glenda and I will receive the Swiss passport in a few weeks. This is a very emotional moment and makes us extremely proud. Over the past 20 years, we have become at home in this country."
