From the next season, the 23-year-old will form a goalie-tandem with Lukas Flüeler until at least the end of the 2021-22 season.

From dragon to lion: Ludovic Waeber.

It was already reported a couple of weeks ago that Ludovic Waeber would have left HC Fribourg-Gottéron at the end of the current season in order to be able to play more minutes. Now his destination is clear: the goaltender will play with the ZSC Lions for the next two years.

"Ludovic is an extremely talented goalie, born in 1996 and still young, who has the potential for a future number one," says Sven Leuenberger, team manager of the Lions, about Waeber. "He will form our goalie duo next season together with Lukas Flüeler and already play some games."

Waeber debuted with the Dragons in National League two years ago and overall he suited up 34 times for them. This season, the 23-year-old has posted a 92.5% save percentage with a 1.62 GAA in three regular-season games so far. In his career, he also participated in two World Juniors with the U20 Swiss national team.
