The club would like to, the agent says no - the netminder's contract, which still lasts until 2021, will not be extended for now.

Statistically, Ivars Punnenovs is one of the best goalkeepers in the National League. He has the lowest goals-against average at 1.96 and the second-highest save percentage at .933 so far this season. As Klaus Zaugg reveals on Watson, his club, the SCL Tigers, would like to keep him around. "Yes, we would like to prematurely extend with Ivars," their team manager Marco Bayer states.

On the other side of the table, the Punnenovs' agent mentions that he is aware of Langnau's interest in a new deal, but says that they prefer to wait.

The 25-year-old is still signed until the end of the 2020-21 season.
