It was rumoured since the middle of July, and was getting more concrete in the last days. Now, Genève-Servette HC has confirmed the signing of Lennart Petrell. He has signed a 1-year-contract until the end of the upcoming season. McSorley: "I had Petrell in my sights since the beginning of the Summer, his former coaches and teammates highly recommended to sign him."
Petrell has recently played for the Edmonton Oilers. For them he scored 18 points in 95 games. During last year's NHL-lockout, Petrell played for his youth team Helsinki IFK a total of 26 games in which he scored 11 goals.
