The 19-year-old defenseman has signed a two-year contract with the Dragons. He will join the team as of the 2020-21 season.

His new deal with HC Fribourg-Gottéron contains an NHL out clause. Team manager Christian Dubé had made no secret out of the fact over the course of the last couple of weeks that he would like the defender on his team for the next season.

Aebischer, who is a product of HCFG's organization, will thus return to Fribourg after having played for the Gatineau Olympiques for two seasons. This year, he has recorded four goals and twelve assists in 20 games for the QMJHL team.
