According to Grégory Beaud and Jérôme Reynard of Sport-Center (published on Le Matin), Alexandre Grenier is one of the two import players Jan Alston is looking to sign before the transfer deadline on February 15.

Grenier is currently playing for the Iserlohn Roosters (DEL) and has recorded eleven goals and twelve assists in 32 games. His team will miss the playoffs and has given him permission to play in the National League, the DEL team announced today.

They also signed him to a contract extension, which includes an out clause for the National League as well as the NHL. If he gets an offer for the next season, his new team will have to pay a fixed transfer fee.
