In an interview with the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet, the head coach of the ZSC Lions talks about a possible future overseas.

Rikard Grönborg feels comfortable in Zurich.

Asked about his recent contacts with the New Jersey Devils, Rikard Grönborg states that it was nothing dramatic: "It was a discussion where we got to know each other, but it was nothing concrete," he explains. "I have an ongoing dialogue with several GMs in the NHL about myself and about players as part of my profession."

Even though there might be openings on coaching positions in the NHL, the Covid-19 pandemic is currently slowing things down: "It seems to be quite a long time before it will be business as usual again," Grönborg says. "I have no idea when, where and how it could possibly become relevant with an NHL job for me."

With a valid contract with the ZSC Lions for next season, there is no hurry for the 51-year-old: "Zurich is a top job in the whole world - me and my family enjoy it fantastically well and we have no rush to look elsewhere. I have no other plans right now."
