Roman Červenka took to Instagram to announce to his followers that he would return to the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers for the 2020-21 season. The Lakers had been interested in keeping him, but due to the implications the coronavirus had on their budget, they had held off on extending contracts.
That is why the extension includes certain restrictions and options, as the Lakers announced in their press release. They did not specify any details.
The Czech forward has been playing in Switzerland since the 2016-17 season. He joined the Lakers in 2019. In 32 games for them, he recorded 14 goals and 27 assists.
