The goal is for Geneva to have a new arena by 2028 at the latest - in case Apothéloz' wish will be granted. The new arena will include two ice rinks, one of which will accommodate a total of 8,500 spectators. It is planned to be built in Le Trèfle-Blanc in the south of the city. Moreover, there is also a Park+Ride planned with 1,200 spots.

"The success of Genève-Servette HC has generated great interest," Apothéloz is sure, asked about the chances of getting his request through the state parliament. "[The project] covers a need for P+R in this region as well as the need for a new ice rink, which has been proven for years. It serves the entire canton."
