No team seems to be interested in the defenseman, who has entered the final year of his three-year contract with the Dragons.

Inconvenient situation for Noah Schneeberger.

"The case is not moving forward. He's practising with Rapperswil, but nobody wants to hire a player right now," HC Fribourg-Gottéron's head coach, Christian Dubé, tells La Liberté. Already during the last season, the club had decided not to count on Schneeberger by loaning him to the Lakers for the remainder of the season.

This inconvenient situation becomes even more pronounced during this season, where every possible savings measure is evaluated and, if possible, implemented, as explained by the president of the club, Hubert Waeber, to the Freiburger Nachrichten: "We have to cut back on everything. And we are extremely happy that all players and other employees are voluntarily waiving part of their wages," says Waeber. "Thanks to all these measures, we are confident that the loss will ultimately amount to only 2.5 million francs" concludes the president.
