Michaël Ngoy made his first game in what was then the Nationalliga B during the 1999-00 season, playing for Lausanne HC. 21 years later, he has decided to hang up his skates, as he tells RSI before what might be his last derby between HC Ambrì-Piotta and Lugano.

"I am not hiding it anymore, I have already discussed it with the staff. I am playing my last season, so all the more reason to want to finish with a derby win. And I would like, like all of us, to finish in the pre-playoffs. That would be very nice for me", the defenseman mentions.

Ngoy made over a thousand games in the National League and a few in the Swiss League for Lausanne, HC Fribourg-Gottéron and the Biancoblù. He has also made some appearances in the Swiss national team.
