Ahead of the upcoming season, SC Bern has decided to bolster their defense further with the acquisition of Patrik Nemeth. He is the seventh import under contract with SCB, although forward Oscar Lindberg is rumored to return to Sweden.

"With his toughness, leadership qualities, and strong two-way game, Patrik Nemeth is an ideal fit for our DNA," comments SC Bern's team manager Andrew Ebbett.

After being drafted by the Dallas Stars, Nemeth spent five seasons between the Stars and their AHL farm team. In 2017 he then found a stable place in the NHL with experiences with the Colorado Avalanche, the Detroit Red Wings, the New York Rangers, and, lastly, the Arizona Coyotes.

Overall, Nemeth suited up 125 times in the AHL recording 34 points and winning a Calder Cup with the Texas Stars. In the NHL, Nemeth played in 537 games NHL collecting 72 points. Moreover, at the last World Championship in May, Nemeth made his debut with the Swedish men's national team.
