"Sean Malone is a team player and a smart player. The combination of his abilities and his character were important for our decision," Pascal Müller, team manager of the Tigers states.

Malone is the SCL Tigers' fifth import player. They are, however, still looking to add another centerman to their import player contingent.

Malone was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in 2013 and suited up for them or their AHL affiliate, the Rochester American from 2017 to 2020 and then again from 2021 to 2023. Last season, he recorded 14 goals and 17 assists in 53 regular-season games.
