National League

Freed from his contract with Omsk, Corban Knight is setting out to win the hearts of Bern and rock the National League.

SC Bern

Knight joins SC Bern after four years in the KHL, three of which were spent with Avangard Omsk. His contract with them would have continued until next summer, but he requested a premature termination. In Bern, he signed a deal for this coming season.

"Corban Knight has great qualities and makes the players around him better", Bern's team manager Andrew Ebbett notes. "With his signing, we can optimally compensate for the departure of Oscar Lindberg."

Despite being a fifth-round draft pick of the Florida Panthers in 2009, Knight only started his career in professional hockey with the Calgary Flames in 2013. After six seasons of mostly AHL action, he set off for his KHL adventure.

The 32-year-old will be wearing number 19 in Bern.
