The 24-year-old center has signed a deal valid until the end of the 2027-28 season.

Part of EV Zug's organization since 2013, Sven Leuenberger has no intention of leaving the club: "I feel at home in Zug. I made the leap from junior player to professional here and have already experienced many great moments. I hope there will be a few more in the coming years."

"Sven has developed steadily over the last few years and is in his prime hockey age," says team manager Reto Kläy about the forward. "I still see a lot of potential in him and am happy that he will remain a part of our team for the next four years."

This season, Leuenberger has suited up in five games for the Bulls but has yet to put his name on the scoresheet. Last season, he collected eight points in 63 games.

Additionally, EV Zug also announced the extension with their goalie coach Simon Pfister. The 38-year-old has been working with EV Zug since 2017.
