Important roster operation for the SCL Tigers who were able to renew the expiring contract of their current top scorer, Aleksi Saarela. The 26-year-old Finnish forward arrived in Langnau two years ago from the Liiga. Saarela joins Saku Mäenalanen (until 2026), and Harri Pesonen and Sean Malone (both 2025) as the Tigers' import players for the next season.
So far this season, Saarela already scored seven goals in nine games. No other player on the Tigers' roster scored more than two goals. In the whole league, only Fribourg's Christoph Bertschy lighted the lamp as many times as he has.
