With the one-year extension of Juuso Riikola, the SCL Tigers have practically already taken care of their imports for the 2024-25 season. The Finn joins fellow countrymen Vili Saarijärvi, Aleksi Saarela, Harri Pesonen, Saku Mäenalanen, and US-American Sean Malone, who all have a contract valid at least until 2025. For his part, the other US-American currently on the roster, Anthony Louis, is momentarily signed until the end of this season.

"Juuso is physically on a high level and takes on a lot of responsibility," explains team manager Pascal Müller and adds, "he brings the necessary defensive stability and is also flexibly deployable in the power and box play."

So far in his first season in the Emmental, Riikola collected seven assists in 17 games with the Tigers, leading the team in assists and in time on ice, with an average of 21:54 minutes on the ice per game.
