Jussi Olkinuora has terminated his contract with Lahti Pelicans and signed a contract valid until next spring with Genève-Servette HC, where he will find several teammates from the Finnish national team. Currently, both GSHC's goalies, Robert Mayer and Gauthier Descloux, are out with an injury.

Team manager Marc Gautschi is delighted to welcome their new goalie to the team: "He's a top-class goaltender and will help us consolidate our position in front of goal until the end of the season. With the recent injuries and the back-to-back games, the opportunity to sign Jussi comes at the right time."

This season, Olkinuora suited up 20 times in the Liiga with the Pelicans, posting a save percentage of 0.903. During the 2021-22 season, Olkinuora won a gold medal both at the Olympics and at the World Championship.
