Effective immediately and until the end of the 2024-25 season, Aleksi Peltonen will wear the jersey of HC Lugano, following in the footsteps of his father Ville, and his brother Jesper. "Aleksi is an interesting young man who can give us a hand in the offensive department where numerous injuries have reduced the number of players available" states team manager Hnat Domenichelli.
Peltonen started the season in Davos but could play only twelve games with them due to a suspension following an administrative mishap about an exceptional therapeutic use permit for his diabetes medications. In those twelve games, he did not put his name on the scoresheet once. On average, he was on the ice 6:28 minutes per game.
