By mutual agreement, Andrew Ebbett and the Bears have decided to part ways after three seasons.

Time to leave for Andrew Ebbett
SC Bern

After several discussions and in-depth analysis, the management of SC Bern evaluated that it is advantageous for the strategic sporting direction to make an adjustment in the position of team manager. The decision was mutual, sports director Martin Plüss explains: "We have agreed for some time that this decision makes sense for both sides".

Andrew Ebbett confirms that it is the right moment to leave: "Martin Plüss and I have always communicated openly. I've spent eight of the last nine seasons with SCB, both as a player and as the team manager. And as team manager, I pursued a three-year plan right from the start. Now is the right time to move on."

SC Bern has already found a replacement for Andrew Ebbett in the person of Patrik Bärtschi, who will thus start his new job on May 1. The former forward of SC Bern worked in the sports management of EHC Kloten until October 2022, when he was relieved from his duties as team manager. Bärtschi currently works as head of sports and deputy headmaster at a sports school.

"Patrik Bärtschi has experience in the junior ranks and therefore knows the younger generation. He has also shown at the professional level in Kloten that he knows how to put together a competitive team" explains Martin Plüss.
