Lausanne HC will also make neck guards mandatory for their players. They are not yet ready to do so, though.

"Players' health must come first. We want to make neck guards mandatory as soon as possible," Christian Wolf, CEO of Lausanne HC, tells 24 heures. "However, we want to make sure we do it right. We want the best on the market. We will introduce this measure as soon as our supplier can deliver the material."

They hope that the players will be able to start wearing them for the first playoff game. Like Genève-Servette HC, Lausanne HC is thus not willing to wait for the league to make a decision regarding the subject matter or as Wolf puts it: "We don't need to wait for a decision from them to take responsibility."
