HC Fribourg-Gottéron told their veteran forward a while ago that they would not extend his contract. He has now decided his future.

"I told my teammates this morning that I will be ending my career," Andrei Bykov revealed in La Liberté's podcast 'Point de Vue'. He adds that it was not an easy decision to make, but that in the end, it was the right one for him.

Bykov is currently dealing with adductor problems and is out of the lineup. The forward has only ever played for HC Fribourg-Gottéron throughout his career. He has appeared in almost 800 National League games. This season, he recorded five goals and seven assists in 38 games. for the Dragons.
