This afternoon, SC Bern confirmed that they would not extend Macenauer's contract. Now, the 27-year-old Canadian has already found a new employer in the same canton. He will stay with the SCL Tigers until the end of this season. For the Bears, Macenauer appeared in 14 games and scored one goal and two assists.

Moreover, the Tigers have signed HC Fribourg-Gottéron's Benjamin Neukom. The 25-year-old forward will play in the Emmental as of next season and will stay there for at least two years until 2019. Neukom has been with the Dragons since the beginning of the 2015-16 season and has since then appeared in 78 games for them, scoring eight goals and seven assists.

At the same time, the Tigers have also extended one contract. Defenseman Philippe Seydoux, who is playing his first season in the Emmental, has extended his contract for one additional season until 2018. The 31-year-old has played 34 games for the Tigers thus far and put up one goal and five assists.
