As HC Ambrì-Piotta announced this week that they will not comment on rumors regarding player transactions until the season is over, RSI was not able to confirm their assumption.
The 23-year-old defenseman played the last four years for the University of Guelph. This season, he appeared in 22 games, scoring three assists. In the 2011-12 season, he also played ten games for HC Lugano's Elite A team. His sister, Rebecca Kohler, currently plays for HC Lugano.
