Yesterday morning, Le Matin reported that Lausanne HC had signed the 26-year-old Latvian forward to a "long-term contract" even though Kenins would have had a valid deal with ZSC Lions for one additional season. Later, 24 heures denied this rumor, citing own sources. Now, the Lions have confirmed that Kenins will not play for another team next season.

Kenins returned to the ZSC Lions last summer after having played in North America for the Vancouver Canucks and the Utica Comets, their AHL affiliate, for two seasons. This term, the 26-year-old Latvian, who has a Swiss license, played 51 games for Zurich, scoring six goals and ten assists.
