In view of the upcoming season, HC Fribourg-Gottéron has officially confirmed the arrival of netminder Reto Berra. Moreover, the club has extended the contracts of imports Roman Cervenka and Michal Birner.

The Florida Panthers' Reto Berra and Fribourg-Gottéron have agreed on a three-year deal through to the end of the 2019-20 season with an option for two additional seasons. Berra's deal, however, includes an NHL-out clause until the end of June.

Moreover, Gottéron has extended the expiring contracts of their Czech forwards Roman Cervenka and Michal Birner for one more year. While Cervenka managed to put up 65 points (20 goals, 45 assists) in 54 games, Birner was able to record eleven goals and 31 assists in 41 games this past term.

Regarding Christian Dubé, the 39-year-old Canadian has been confirmed in his position as team manager. As for the coaching staff and head coach Larry Huras, who took over from Gerd Zenhäusern in October last year, the club informs that negotiations are still underway and, a decision will be taken soon.

In other news, after the departures of imports Greg Mauldin, Ryan Vesce and Alexandre Picard, the Dragons are currently on the lookout for a foreign forward and defenseman for the next season. Furthermore, the club aims to continue integrating young players into their first team.
