"I think there may be a decision this week whether it will Linköping HC or not," says the 36-year-old forward. Linköping seems to be the front-runner among the clubs that are interested in him. Aftonbladet had already reported in early March that the SHL team had offered him a contract.

Byrnäs IF and Djurgården reportedly also had the Swede on their respective lists, Mårtensson excludes, however, a signing with Djurgården. The forward played the past two seasons for HC Lugano, scoring 32 goals and 50 assists in 111 games.
