After the Leventinesi signed the 20-year-old Swiss-Canadian Connor Hughes, there is no more room for the 21-year-old Michal Chmel, La Regione writes. The Czech goalie, who is in possession of a Swiss player's license, thus has to look for a new employer as of next season.
This season, Chmel played 21 games for HC Ambrì-Piotta's NLB affiliate, the HCB Ticino Rockets. Over the course of these games, he posted a .899 save percentage.
