The 33-year-old suited up for KHL's Medvescak Zagreb, Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk and HC Slovan Bratislava in the past four years and would replace Reto Berra, who recently left Fribourg for another shot in the NHL with the Anaheim Ducks.
Last term, Brust appeared in a total of 42 games for Bratislava, posting a goal against average of 2.42 and a save percentage of .918.
