National League

With forwards Mattias Sjögren and Drew Shore, as well as defenseman Kevin Klein, the ZSC Lions have only three imports on their team. Team manager Sven Leuenberger hopes to sign a fourth before the season starts.

"We'd like to have a forward who can play both as a winger and as a center," Leuenberger says to the Neue Zürcher Zeitung. "But those are rare." A name that has come up recently is the New York Rangers' Brandon Pirri, but according to reports, the 26-year-old's goal is to stay in the National Hockey League.

Whether Pirri actually is an option, Leuenberger does not say: "We're currently in contact with several players," he explains to the same source. "It would be good if we came to an agreement soon." He is, however, not in a hurry: "We could certainly start the season with only three imports (...), but my goal is to complete our roster before the season starts."
