Pelletier last coached HC Ambrì-Piotta in the 2015-16 season and was then relieved of his duties on October 25, 2015. He is, however, not the only candidate for the vacant head coaching position.
Dan Ratushny, recently fired by Lausanne HC, apparently also figures among the candidates. It is less likely that he will sign with HC La Chaux-de-Fonds, however, as he is focused on finding a job in the German league, the newspaper writes.
Furthermore, according to Arcinfo, HCC now has a short list of five candidates. A list which includes John Fust, who is very interested in the position. Also, former EHC Olten coach Scott Beattie is on their list. Furthermore, Dany Gelinas, Dan Ratushny, Gil Montandon and Pat Lefebvre did apply for the job, the newspaper reports, but did not end up on HCC's short list.
