Feigning an injury, fouls or other dangerous situations are unfair actions that distort the game. Such actions are not tolerated in hockey and are therefore sanctioned accordingly, the Swiss Ice Hockey Federation states. Footage of the incident can be watched here.
Fabio Arnold's suspension is because he received the second game misconduct penalty of the season in the game between EVZ Academy and EHC Winterthur on February 3. He has also been issued a fine of CHF 600.-.
