As the club announced today, they have extended the expiring contracts of head coach Mair, 50, and his 41-year-old assistant Winkler for one more year each, until 2019.
Stephan Mair took over the behind HCT's boards as of the 2016-17 season, whereas former team captain Benjamin Winkler was hired as assistant coach in mid-January 2016.
HC Thurgau finished this year's regular season in sixth place and will face EHC Olten in the upcoming playoff quarterfinal series.
