"I've always said that I'll do it for two to three years. I am not an ice hockey expert. I enjoy sports in general, also ice hockey, of course. But I'm not someone who's been looking for a job as president of an ice hockey club," Lehmann tells MySports' Reto Müller.
Hans-Ulrich Lehmann, who took over the club from the ASE Group two years ago, had already reaffirmed at the press conference following the club's relegation to the Swiss League in late April this year that he is going to stay with Kloten for at least one more year.
When asked about how advanced the quest for a successor is and who will take over the club, Lehmann replied: "I can't tell you that at the moment, but we're relatively close to a solution." He added that he has no wish but that things in Kloten continue in a orderly manner, in financially healthy circumstances, and with a reasonable budget. "That's what I stand for. I want to hand over this club to someone when everything is in order, including the finances."
