The 41-year-old Swede has signed a two-year contract with the Mice.

EHC Olten has found their new head coach

Fredrik Söderström will spend the next two days in Olten and is set to move to Switzerland in July. It is not yet clear who the club will appoint as his assistant.

Expressen reported yesterday that the Swede was close to agreeing to terms with EHC Olten. Söderstörm served as the head coach of Storhamar for the past two seasons, winning the Norwegian championship with them in the 2017-18 season.

Because of his success in Norway, he was elected as the coach of the year at the European Hockey Awards in 2018, for which he has been nominated again this year.
