The two Canadian forwards are in advanced contract negotiations with HC Ajoie's team manager Vincent Léchenne.

As Léchenne tells MySports, they had good discussions with the two players as well as their agent and are close to signing a new deal with them. If they were to sign with the Swiss League team, they would thus add a seventh season to their stint in Porrentruy.

The two Canadians are currently on top of the scoring list in the Swiss League. Whereas Philip-Michaël Devos has recorded 20 goals and 40 assists in 34 games, Jonathan Hazen has put up 34 goals and 27 assists in the same amount of games.

Léchenne would also like to keep Giacomo Casserini, but that might not happen: "Of course, we would like to keep him, but it is true that he maybe has other priorities. We will see what happens in the next few days."

Casserini has been with the Ajoulots since 2013. The 30-year-old defenseman has recorded three goals and five assists in 25 games this season.
