NLB - EHC Vips announces the signing of several new players as well as some contract extensions, most importantly a new one-year contract with head coach Kim Collins, who will thus stay another season in Visp.

Collins, 53, is currently working in his second season as head coach of EHC Visp and will also be on their bench for the 2015-16 season. Furthermore, SC Bern's Julian Schmutz, 20, has also signed a one-year contract with EHC Visp. He has scored 33 points (21 goals. 12 assists) in 40 games for them this season.

As for Fernando Heynen, the 27-year-old defenseman has agreed to a two-year contract extension. He is a product of Visp's system and will play his twelfth season for them in 2015. This season, he put up three goals and five assists.

There will also be some new faces next year. Lars Neher, 23, will join Visp from the GCK Lions and will stay until the end of the 2016-17 season. The forward will already be playing for Visp in this year's playoffs. He currently has 14 goals and 16 assists to his name.

Robin Kuonen, 20, who also played for EHC Visp up to the U20 level, joins the team from first league club HC Sion. He also agreed to a one-year contract and has posted a 2.52 GAA in 13 games for Sion.

Lastly, EHC Visp has also agreed to development contracts with goaltender Hoël Ballestraz, 17, and defenseman Jeffray Bitz, 18. Ballestraz has agreed to a four-year contract and will be the number three in the goalie hierarchy. Both are from Visp's youth organisation and they will also mostly play for their junior team and in the first league. (mso)
