As wished by head coach Heinz Ehlers, EHC Visp has acquired a two-way center with leadership qualities and offensive potential. With Garry Nunn, he will form Visp's import duo. With the exception of two years in North America within the organization of the Chicago Blackhawks (2018-20), Nilsson has always played in Sweden.
In the last two seasons, Nilsson suited up for Frölunda HC scoring 13 goals and recording 14 assists in 59 games, to which he added eight points in 16 Champions Hockey League games.
