In the first round, EHC Visp will host HC Sierre for the first Valais derby of the season on September 15. The season officially starts the day before, when the Bellinzona Rockets take on EHC Basel. The newly promoted HCV Martigny has to start at Les Mélèzes against HC La Chaux-de-Fonds.
