The Swiss League club has signed nine players to extensions, acquired two new ones, and bid farewell to six players, including Roman Schlagenhauf.

For the upcoming season, the GCK Lions will be able to count on their two imports Jarno Kärki ((FIN)) and Victor Backman ((SWE)), who will both stay for at least one more season. Also staying are Sascha Ruppelt, Yannick Blaser (who definitely joins the Lions after a loan period from the SCL Tigers this past season), Silvan Landolt, Dominic Buchli, Nauris Sejejs, Mattia Hinterkircher, and Julian Mettler.

Moreover, the Lions also announced the signings of forward Jan Neueschwander from the SCL Tigers and defender Jan Schwendeler from the U20 squad of EV Zug. Both players have agreed on a one-year deal. Also joining the team but from within the organization are youngsters Noah Böhler (19) and Fabio Murer (20) with a two-year contract, and Jan Spring (19) with a one-year deal.

Finally, the GCK Lions have also to register some outgoing movements: after more than 800 games, captain Roman Schlagenhauf has decided to retire at 34. Gianluca Burger, Rihards Melnalksnis (both to EHC Olten), Liekit Reichle (EHC Biel), Matthias Mémeteau (Lausanne HC), and Adam Falus (open) will also leave, while Nicolas Baechler and Marlon Graf are now directly under contract with the ZSC Lions.
