With Josh Lawrence, EHC Winterthur will lose their by-far best scorer of the past season. As Der Landbote writes, they would not have the financial means to keep him. Fellow import Matt Fontenye is not receiving an extension with the Swiss League club either.

Netminder Michal Chmel will be returning to his home country Czechia due to personal reasons. Due to Damian Stettler's injury, he carried the main workload this season.

Yannick Hänggi's retirement has already been known, fellow defenseman Hans Pienitz is going the same way and hanging up his skates. Dario Bartholet will seek greener pastures, while Bo Salerno is not getting a new contract.

Dominic Forget is not going to be part of Winterthur anymore as well. At 43, the forward might eventually decide to retire. No agreement about an extension could be found with Robin Lekic, so the 21-year-old is headed elsewhere. Fellow forwards Hannes Kobel, Jayson Ren, and Alexis Valenza are being let go.

On the addition-side, two more players will join the club, the announcements will come once their respective club's season is done. "I am still looking for a goalkeeper, a defender, and two foreign forwards", team manager Christian Weber notes.
