Rizzello returned to his youth team in 2008 after having played for the SCL Tigers and HC Fribourg-Gottéron. He has been the Lakers' captain since the beginning of the 2015-16 season. In those two seasons in the NLB so far, Rizzello has put up 102 points in 105 games.
This term thus far, Rizzello has appeared in 43 games for the Lakers, scoring 16 goals and 25 assists for a total of 41 points.
