On March 16, EHC Olten announced that their contract with Schwarzenbach would not be extended. Now, he has found a new employer, HC La Chaux-de-Fonds. Their team manager Christian Weber says, "Schwarzenbach is a fast skater with impressive stick-handling skills and a lot of experience; he will be a great addition to the team."
The 29-year-old forward played ten consecutive seasons in Olten and scored seven goals and 20 assists in 50 games this season.
