Already revealed by Rhône FM ten days ago, according to the Tribune de Genève, the financial situation in Martigny has not improved. In fact, quite the contrary is the case.

As the Tribune de Genève reports, the salaries for the months of February and March are still outstanding, and players would increasingly run out of patience, as their future has become more than uncertain.

"We were just told that there's not enough budget to keep us, and that we should look for somewhere else, despite we still have a valid contract for next season," a player reveals to the TdG.

According to the same source, the players of Red Ice have sent the club's leadership a final demand letter, requesting them to make the outstanding payment. Otherwise, they would consider legal action against the club.

At the end of February, CEO Kimmo Bellmann had announced a budget reduction for next season, and that the amount of the decrease would depend on the buyers of Andrey Nazheskin's shares as well as on the contribution of president Mike Echenard.

The buyers of Nazheskin's shares but also Echenard's own contribution, however, have yet to be announced and presented. Some dark clouds seem to have formed on the horizon of Martigny.
