The Finnish coach Vesa Viitakoski has signed a one-year contract as EHC Visp's assistant coach. The 46-year-old has been coaching since 2011. Most recently, he was responsible for the U17 national team of Turkey. As a player, he suited up in 23 NHL games for the Calgary Flames and participated in three World Championships with Finland.
Moreover, EHC Visp has signed the 21-year-old Joel Aebi as their third goaltender alongside Lukas Meili and Matthias Schoder for the upcoming season. Last season, Aebi was part of SC Bern where he was Leonardo Genoni's backup, but already suited up for Visp via B-license in 13 games.
