Reto Berra's agent André Rufener has told Watson's Klaus Zaugg that his client will definitely not return to Switzerland this season.

Berra, who has a valid contract with the Florida Panthers until the end of this season, has recently been assigned to their AHL team. However, Rufener emphasizes that returning to Switzerland is not an option for the 29-year-old goaltender. "It is likely that Reto will get an opportunity to play in the NHL this season," Rufener states. "And let's not forget about Las Vegas."

Next season, when the new NHL franchise will be established in Nevada, there might be a chance for Berra to receive a contract with Las Vegas. For now, however, the 29-year-old will have to deal with playing for the Springfield Thunderbirds of the AHL.
