According to Murray Pam (The Hockey News, member of the PHWA), the Ottawa Senators' GM Pierre Dorion was not only scouting Chris DiDomenico during his stay in Switzerland, but also SC Bern's Simon Moser.

Moser is, of course, not entirely unknown in North America, as he played for the Nashville Predators in the 2013-14 season. However, he had only appeared in six NHL games, scoring one goal and one assist. Mostly, he then played for the Preds' AHL affiliate, the Milwaukee Admirals (26 points in 48 games).

The 27-year-old forward is currently in his third consecutive season with SC Bern. He has an average ice-time of 19:40 minutes per game; only former NHL player Mark Arcobello is more on the ice for the Bears' offence. In 50 games this season, Moser has scored eleven goals and 23 assists.
