In an interview with NBC's "ProSoccerTalk", Ralph Krueger reveals that he has been offered a coaching position by two NHL teams. However, he wants to focus on Southampton FC for now and has thus turned them down.

“It was nice and honorable that I was offered two NHL jobs and I was happy they didn’t forget about me, but I turned them down,” Krueger said. “I still love the game and I have lots of friends still in the playoffs, I am keeping a close eye on them. My son is playing at the World Championship for Germany right now in Germany and all of that… but it is Southampton. At the moment this is doing it. I don’t think you ever close the door on anything in your life but I love being here.”

He did not, however, reveal which NHL teams showed interest in him. In mid-April, Elliotte Friedman (Sportsnet) had reported that the Vancouver Canucks would be keen on signing him and just yesterday Pierre LeBrun (TSN) reported that the Buffalo Sabres' new GM, Jason Botterill, was interested in talking to Krueger about the Sabres' vacant head coaching position.
