No surprise - Nino Niederreiter also receives qualifying offer

The Minnesota Wild have, as expected, extended a qualifying offer to Nino Niederreiter. They thus keep the right to negotiate with the Swiss international.

Niederreiter's agent André Rufener recently revealed to the StarTribune that he is looking for a long-term deal for his client. The 24-year-old forward, who is a restricted free agent, has been part of the Wild's organisation since 2013. In 87 games for Minnesota this past season, the forward recorded 25 goals and 33 assists.
