As reported by Marc-André Berset (RTS) last night, Berra received an offer from the Ducks. An offer he has now decided to accept. However, according to HCFG, the goaltender's contract for the 2018-19 and the 2019-20 season with the Dragons remains in place. The club is currently working on finding a replacement for Berra for the 2017-18 season.

According to Pierre Schouwey (La Liberté ), the 30-year-old netminder signed a one-way contract with the Ducks to serve as their third goalie (John Gibson and Ryan Miller are the other two goalies). Christian Dubé confirmed this news in the video below. The same applies to the Anaheim Ducks, who officialized the said one-year deal with Berra later the day.

Berra signed a three-year contract with Gottéron at the beginning of April. Last season, he appeared in seven NHL games for the Florida Panthers and 31 AHL games for the Springfield Thunderbirds.
